Dan is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor who takes a person-centered, and affirming approach to therapy. He believes that therapy works best when a strong therapeutic bond has been created. He will safely guide clients to a place of connection, integration, and self-discovery. With new insight and better understanding of self, Dan believes that every person can learn to become a wiser and more fulfilled version of themselves.
Experience
Dan obtained his Bachelor’s degree from UMass Amherst, and later earned his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Seminary. He has twenty two years of experience supporting diverse populations of people struggling with mental health disorders, substance use, and addictions. His clientele has ranged from adolescents to adults, in both residential and outpatient settings. Dan has many years of experience facilitating clinical addiction and mental health recovery groups.
As a seminary graduate and student of comparative religions, Dan has extensive knowledge of community-based support groups. He will support clients who take a faith based approach to meet life’s challenges.
