Counseling Style

Alexandra takes a nurturing and empathic approach to her work with clients.  She believes that building a therapeutic relationship and creating a safe space for clients to share is essential to the work.  Alexandra believes that it is important to provide guidance and direct feedback in an effort to facilitate positive change.  She is flexible, understanding, and adjusts her style to meet the needs of her clients.  This person-centered lens allows for individuals to feel a sense of support that is free from judgment. 

Experience

Alexandra has been a practitioner in the field for 16 years.  She has a Masters of Art in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University and is licensed as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts.  She has worked in outpatient, residential and school-based settings as well as having been the Director of a partial hospitalization program.  Alexandra has had the pleasure of training masters and doctoral level clinicians and interns and truly loves teaching others about mental health.
