Counseling Style

Christina takes on an empathetic, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and comfortable environment so people can talk openly about the challenges they are facing and find new ways to cope and live more fully. Christina believes each person has an unlimited potential to heal, grow, and raise their awareness to feel empowered to identify and remove any barriers that stand in their way of achieving their personal goals. Her eclectic, multi-faceted approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, while utilizing aspects from several therapeutic modalities to help guide each person in their own journey of self-discovery and transformation.

Experience

Christina is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bay Path University. Her therapeutic approach draws from her diverse experience working with adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population in a variety of settings. She has extensive experience working in acute settings including community/mobile crisis, inpatient psychiatric units, and providing clinical services in a community multidisciplinary team for individuals with severe and persistent mental health issues. Christina’s training and experience guide her holistic approach to assess the whole person in their environment and reinforce their unique strengths/abilities to create positive change and enhance wellbeing. Christina was inspired to enter the field after suffering multiple losses, including losing family members to overdose and murder. She began receiving her own therapy which enabled her to navigate these losses and transitions effectively, and support others to feel capable of doing the same.
