Eric believes therapy is a collaborative process in which the client is the expert in themselves and steers the ship and he helps to support them through what can be difficult, though necessary and important change. At the base of Eric’s work is a collaborative, empathic, non-judgemental, hopeful and accepting approach in which a unique relationship can form to help facilitate change and allow a person to become more accepting, patient, curious and compassionate towards themselves.
Experience
Eric has 10 years’ experience in the mental health field in a variety of settings and with a diverse range of people. His work with individuals in therapy is informed by his training in social work. His training and experience impels him to assess the whole person in their environment and recognize their strengths while facilitating change and instilling hope.
In his work as a clinician he pulls from a variety of modalities including CBT, DBT, ACT and Motivational Interviewing and strives to honor a person centered, relational and strengths-based framework.
