Counseling Style

Brigid is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with deep experience in trauma recovery, co-occurring disorders, and outpatient mental health and substance use treatment. She is known for creating a safe, collaborative space where clients feel supported, empowered, and truly heard.

Experience

Brigid’s therapeutic approach is grounded in compassion and clinical expertise. She integrates EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills into a strengths-based framework. Whether
clients are navigating recovery, managing anxiety or depression, or processing trauma, Brigid meets them with authenticity, curiosity, and deep respect for their lived experience.

Her background includes leadership roles in clinical supervision, group therapy, and program development. She has worked in diverse settings, from intensive outpatient programs to family-focused trauma services, always with a focus on evidence-based, trauma-informed care. Brigid earned her MSW from Springfield College School of Social Work and holds a BA in Spiritual Psychology from UMass Amherst.

Brigid is especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ clients and those recovering from complex trauma. She believes therapy can be a powerful space for healing, insight, and sustainable change—and she’s honored to walk alongside clients on that journey.
