Yes! Handel Behavioral Health (HBH) accepts many major health insurance plans in Massachusetts, along with a number of smaller insurance plans.
Finding a therapist who accepts your insurance isn’t always easy. Some counseling practices only work with a handful of insurance companies, while others don’t accept insurance at all.
At Handel Behavioral Health, we believe that getting quality mental health care shouldn’t be harder because of insurance. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to work with a wide range of insurance providers, helping more individuals and families access affordable therapy and counseling services.

We do our best to make using your insurance as easy as possible. Our Client Care team can help review your insurance information and determine whether we believe your plan is accepted at HBH.

We encourage all clients to contact their insurance company directly to confirm that Handel Behavioral Health and their specific clinician are in network, understand their behavioral health benefits, and verify any copays, deductibles, or other out-of-pocket costs. Ultimately, clients are responsible for verifying their insurance coverage and any charges not paid by their insurance plan, subject to applicable insurance agreements and laws.

If you don’t have insurance or prefer not to use it, Handel Behavioral Health also offers self-pay options for therapy and counseling.
We provide mental health services at our offices in Franklin, Amherst, Natick, West Springfield, and Wilbraham, Massachusetts, along with telehealth appointments for clients throughout Massachusetts.
