Book Recommendation: Treating Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents

BOOK RECOMMENDATION by clinician Ashley Borghetti!

I always bring the book, “Treating Traumatic Stress in Children and Adolescents,” by Margaret E. Blaustein and Kristine M. Kinniburgh with me to the office. I’ve followed variations of this book and find them so helpful for regulation, family therapy and crisis management. Do not let the cover fool you! A lot of the skills the adults we work with lack, can be addressed through this framework, as they never had the ability to learn how to regulate their emotions as a child.
