BOOK RECOMMENDATION by Kaitlin Corson, LMHC:
I really like the memoir, “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Psychiatrist Viktor E. Frankl. Frankl went through the Holocaust, and based on his own experiences in the concentration camps, he shows us how he found meaning and moved forward through such a desperate situation.
The book hones in on the different mental health challenges that people can experience, as well as the meaning that people can find in life, regardless of their circumstances.
It’s a wonderful book about how we choose to cope with painful situations, find meaning in them, and move forward.
