Tamara brings a grounded, compassionate presence to her work, meeting each person with warmth, curiosity and respect. She encourages clients to develop embodied insight into their symptoms, helping them integrate them in a way that opens the door to meaningful and sustainable transformation.
Her approach is rooted in the belief that healing is a holistic, creative, and collaborative process. She honors all parts of the self, trusts life’s forward-moving nature and each person’s innate wisdom and capacity for healing.
Tamara also holds the importance of relationships, both inner and outer, at the center of healing. She recognizes that many of our wounds, and our opportunities for repair, emerge within connection.
Having spent much of her career within traditional medical settings, Tamara has witnessed both the strengths and limitations of these systems. She values a personalized, integrative approach to care and close collaboration with clients and their therapists. The aim is to create a more nuanced and grounded understanding of how medication can support a healing process. She does not believe medication is a substitute for deeper therapeutic exploration, rather a thoughtful complement to it.
Experience
Tamara is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience in mental health care. She earned her PMHNP from Rutgers University in 2012.
She is also a Certified Practitioner (CP) in Psychodrama, Sociometry, and Group Psychotherapy, and continues to advance her training as a Practitioner Applicant for Trainer (PAT). She is passionate about supporting both clients and fellow clinicians in integrating experiential and relational approaches into healing work.
Tamara has completed specialized training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), expanding her ability to support clients in transformative, insight-oriented, and integrative healing experiences.
Her work is especially well-suited for individuals seeking a thoughtful and collaborative approach—one that understands medication as a support within a broader process of psychotherapy, self-discovery, and meaningful connection.
