Julie is an inclusive, warm, and empathic clinician who aims to help their clients feel respected, validated, and empowered in sessions. They are an LGBTQIA+ and Neurodiversity Affirming Provider. Julie utilizes a person-centered counseling approach that is Health At Every Size / weight inclusive, trauma, and social justice informed. They prioritize providing anti-oppressive, anti-ableist, and overall intersectional care.
Julie identifies as trans/non-binary and neurodivergent. Julie’s lived experience with their own neurodivergence significantly informs their practice.
Experience
Julie attended graduate school at American International College in Springfield, MA, where they completed a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology. They have worked in various mental health settings including outpatient and school environments. In their spare time, Julie enjoys prioritizing rest, self-care, and spending time with family.
In their clinical work, Julie incorporates treatment modalities such as relational and strengths-based counseling, Motivational Interviewing, ACT, and DBT. They strive to ensure that therapy is always a safe and comfortable space for their clients.
