Counseling Style

Connection is key to a great outcome within therapy. Amanda establishes a relationship and a bond with each person and family through trust, empathy and understanding. Her therapy style is flexible enough to fit each person individually and to help them develop to the best of their abilities.

Amanda uses play and talk therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is her primary modality but she also like to incorporate play, art and mindfulness therapies into her work. She believes everyone is an individual with things that are uniquely them and those things should be the focus to help each individual shine to their very brightest potential.

Experience

Amanda graduated from Springfield college with a Masters in education and has been a licensed mental health counselor for 17 yrs. She has been working with Kids and families throughout her career, including very young children starting at the age of 3 to transitioning from young adulthood to adults.
